Barclays offers talented graduates the opportunity to build a career with an organisation that touches every area of banking. We have opportunities across four main areas of our business, where applicants can match their individual strengths and ambitions to their ideal role:
- Retail and Business Banking
- Investment Bank
- Corporate Banking
- Wealth and Investment Management
Opportunities range from client facing roles, to roles within our specialist support functions such as Technology, HR and Operations. Throughout all areas, we are keen to recruit ambitious, capable interns and graduates from all degree disciplines, who are numerate and commercially aware, with strong communications skills and a desire to learn.
Our Spring Programmes give first-year students (or second years on four-year courses) incredible early insights into a career in the financial world. There are a number of specific programmes on offer, each of which is an intensive week of work shadowing, workshops, interactive skill sessions and senior-level networking. At the end of it, you’ll have a clear picture of what we do – and the opportunities we have to offer.
Through a combination of live project work, business presentations, training sessions and senior-level networking opportunities, you’ll be exposed to our global organisation. In addition to the work, we run a series of networking and social events, meaning there’s as much to enjoy as there is to learn.
Graduates are our key future talent stream and new joiners will typically enjoy early exposure to business-critical projects, gaining valuable experience as they work alongside senior managers as valued members of the team.
